Bonn, May 7, 2024 - The startup RIZM has won the ChemCologne Startup Challenge 2024, which took place as part of the ChemCologne Cooperation Day at the Digitalhub Bonn. Under the motto "Rethinking Chemistry - Towards an Innovative Future", the event brought together over 100 participants from science, the chemical industry and the startup ecosystem.

At the start-up pitch session, teams from Rheinsharing, Blue Activity, Containergrid, Hydrogenea and Sweethoven Biotech presented their ideas for the future of the chemical industry alongside RIZM. After an exciting series of presentations and an intensive discussion, RIZM was announced as the winner. Joshua Küpper, founder and CBO of RIZM, accepted the award on behalf of his company.

Christoph Kappenhagen, CEO of ChemCologne, was enthusiastic: "We saw exciting pitches and had lively panel discussions. The final exchange is particularly important for this event. This is where companies in the chemical industry find inspiration for the future."

The ChemCologne Cooperation Day ended with a networking session where participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and make new contacts. The event impressively demonstrated how important collaboration between science, the chemical industry and start-ups is for the successful future of the sector.
